Just add water to grow a collection of beautiful, fragrant herbs prized in the Tudor Household. Fennel, Winter Savory and Lemon Balm also have many culinary and medicinal virtues, and deserve to be as treasured by the modern gardener as they were by their Tudor counterparts.
The Tudor householder would have had an incredible understanding and appreciation for the many uses of each garden plant. It’s the Tudors who began to think of gardens as the beautiful and useful spaces that we strive to create today.
All you’ll need is a small container, some water and a warm, sunny spot on the windowsill. Within 6-8 weeks the seedlings will be ready to plant into the ground or into pots.
