Perhaps the most unusual of all citrus, the exotic Finger Lime plant will dangle colourful fruits that slice open to reveal 'lime caviar' which pops in the mouth.
The tart and fragrant flavour of these tiny pearls is described as somewhere between a lime and a grapefruit.
As well as producing fruits much prized by gastronomes across the globe, this is an attractive houseplant which will bear pretty pink blossom amid glossy evergreen foliage.
Please note that this plant has thorns.
