Rules of Engagement

When the question's been popped, we've got the perfect engagement present to celebrate any happy coupling.

Within this gorgeous gift, we send a potted Myrtle plant: its dense green leaves have a lovely spicy aroma when crushed; wonderfully scented creamy-white flowers in late spring; followed by dark purple berries, which can be used to season meat dishes. The Myrtle can be planted outside in a sunny spot, or kept in its terracotta pot to be brought indoors for winter. Naturally we also include a delicious bottle of Champagne for them to enjoy instantly and toast their engagement whilst they wait for their first bloom of flowers. All comes beautifully hand packed into one of our handsome wooden crates ready to impress.

In the language of flowers, the pretty Myrtle plant has long been associated with love. It was sacred to Aphrodite in classical times, and the Victorians added sprigs to bridal bouquets to symbolise a happy marriage. A delightful tradition which we think should be continued!
