Ned Trier is the brains behind The Gluttonous
Gardener. It was through his love of plants
and food, accompanied with the need to keep
busier in the winter months, when his landscape
gardening business was quieter, that The
Gluttonous Gardener was born. Today there
is a team of six headed by Sally Golland , this
expands to 20 at Christmas time all dedicated
to sending out fantastic gifts!
We started with just three gifts, our Wine and
Vine crate, The Olive Enthusiasts Kit and the
Orange crate all of which remain best sellers
15 years on. We have over the years expanded
the range to cover every conceivable present
giving occasion and now have around 50 products.
With every gift we maintain Ned's founding
principle that the perfect present should
contain an element for instant enjoyment
accompanied with a relevant growing element
to go on for many years reminding the lucky
recipient of your generosity!
Many of our products are conceived as a result
of requests from our lovely customers who often
tell us what they think is missing from our range.
The sourcing of new suppliers and plants is
something that everyone in the office looks
forward to, we champion small independent
suppliers and harder to find varieties. We take
great delight in testing and tasting every product
that go into our crates as well as growing
trials of any new plant varieties to make sure
that they really do what they are meant to.
